Gigantic Souvenir Blow-Out Friday, Nov. 28
Numerous souvenirs adorned with the familiar red-and-white NASCAR Winston Cup Series logo will be available one last time before NEXTEL becomes the primary sponsor of NASCAR's premier racing series.
The annual day-after-Thanksgiving Souvenir Blow-Out allows shoppers with race fans on their holiday lists to find the ultimate gifts and stocking stuffers at prices as low as $1, while avoiding the traditional frenzy at the malls.
As an extra bonus, shoppers spending at least $50 on merchandise will have the opportunity to drive their personal vehicle two laps around the legendary 1.5 mile superspeedway, following in the tire tracks that took Jimmie Johnson to victory in this May¿s running of The Winston and Coca-Cola 600.
In addition to merchandise from the track¿s gift shop, many NASCAR team souvenir rigs will line the track¿s front entrance offering drastically reduced prices on a wide variety of memorabilia, hats, T-shirts, posters and die-cast cars. More than two dozen vendors featuring merchandise from top drivers such as Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are expected to participate.
North Carolina Fraser fir Christmas trees will also be on sale with proceeds benefiting Speedway Children¿s Charities.
