Quaker Steak & Lube, the award-winning automotive-themed restaurant chain, has signed to sponsor the ARCA RE/MAX Series stock car race Thursday night, May 27, at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway.

The Quaker Steak & Lube 100 will be the 20th ARCA race at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway since the series first visited the 1.5-mile facility in 1964.

In addition, the restaurant chain¿s award-winning chicken wings have been selected as the ¿Official Chicken Wings of Lowe¿s Motor Speedway.¿

Gary Meszaros and George Warren opened the first Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant in a converted Sharon, Pa., gas station in 1974 and the company now has franchised restaurants in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina.

Known for its over-the-top auto-themed décor, Quaker Steak & Lube has developed a cult-like following for its celebrated chicken wings. The company has won numerous national and international awards, including the ¿Best Wings USA¿ for its famous chicken wing sauces.

Quaker Steak & Lube¿s sponsorship at Lowe¿s Motor Speedway is an extension of its motorsports involvement. The company also sponsors the No. 38 Atomic Wing ARCA RE/MAX Series entry driven by Greg Sarff along with many local racers.
