Rayn Hemphill earned the pole position for Thursday night's Quaker Steak & Lube 100 ARCA RE/MAX Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Driving the No. 64 Braun Racing Dodge, Hemphill circled the 1.5-mile superspeedway at 180.517 mph to earn his second pole of the season.

Brent Sherman was second fastest at 179.778 mph in the No. 44 Dodge with former Charlotte Motor Speedway Legends Car champion Reed Sorenson, making his first ARCA start, third at 179.772 in the No. 77 Dodge.

The Quaker Steak & Lube 100 is part of CTC Pole Night which also includes NASCAR NEXTEL Cup qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600. Tickets are available at the gate or by calling 1-800-455-FANS.
