Race fans will be able to fulfill their "need for speed" during the winter months as highlights of Lowe¿s Motor Speedway's 11th annual Hardee's Summer Shootout will be televised by SPEED Channel on 10 Friday evenings beginning Dec. 3 and concluding Feb. 11.

The 10 one-hour programs, featuring action from each of the series' 10 weeks, will air at 8 p.m. (EST) and repeat at midnight. The telecasts will run on consecutive Friday nights from Dec. 3 through Jan. 21 with the final two rounds slated to air on Feb. 4 and 11.

Veteran broadcasters Brian Drebber and Dave Sadowksi will call the action with Doug Rice, the voice of Performance Racing Network, reporting from the pit area.

The Hardee's Summer Shootout telecasts will feature Legends Car, Bandolero and Thunder Roadster racing as well as entertaining special attractions such as School Bus Races, One-on-One Spectator Races and Road Hawg action.

In addition, the telecasts will chronicle the exploits of driver and veteran SPEED Channel broadcaster Ralph Sheheen. Sheheen drove the SPEED Channel-sponsored entry to an eighth-place finish in the Thunder Roadster point standings. His car carried an on-board camera throughout the series and radio conversations between Sheheen and his crew chief, Curt Andrews, were recorded.

The telecasts will also introduce viewers to several second- and third-generation racers such as Chrissy Wallace, Corey Lajoie, Brandon McReynolds and Ryan Blaney.
