The cars and stars of NASCAR will invade Charlotte Motor Speedway for two of the sport's most exciting weeks of auto racing in May and numerous family specials are in place, offering high-speed entertainment at affordable prices.

The action-packed May schedule includes NASCAR racing's all-star event, the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge on Saturday night, May 21, and the longest event in major-league auto racing, the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday evening, May 29.

Family priced seating in a special non-alcoholic section is available for the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 on Saturday night, May 28. This 300-mile slugfest features the NASCAR Busch Series, racing's version of triple-A baseball. Busch Series regulars such as Martin Truex Jr., David Green and Jason Keller will go fender-to-fender with several stars from the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series in the first nighttime running of this Memorial Day weekend spectacle.

Tickets in the non-alcoholic grandstand for the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 are just $10 for children 12 and under and $25 for adults.

Children affiliated with any form of Scouting, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc., can enjoy the CARQUEST Auto Parts 300 free of charge from a seat in Charlotte Motor Speedway's South Grandstand. Each Scout must wear his or her uniform and Scout Packs are encouraged to attend as a group. One Pack leader will be admitted free-of-charge with six Scouts.

"We take great pride in offering some of the lowest ticket prices in NASCAR so families can enjoy the thrill of our events."

Family priced seating is also available for the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race on Sunday, May 29. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon are just a sampling for the 43 drivers that will be in action. Children 12 and under can watch the race from a seat in the Fourth-Turn Terrace for just $10 while accompanying adults are admitted for only $49.

Family priced specials are also available for NASCAR NEXTEL Cup qualifying during CTC Pole Night on Thursday, May 26. More than 50 drivers will give it their best shot in timed runs around the 1.5-mile oval with the fastest-and bravest-earning the No. 1 starting spot for the Coca-Cola 600. Children under 6 will be admitted free to CTC Pole Night and just $1 gains entry for those ages 6 to 12. Adult tickets are $12 in advance.

Charlotte Motor Speedway's May schedule also includes two races at The Dirt Track @ Charlotte Motor Speedway and discounted tickets are available for children ages 12 and under.

The Ferris Commercial Mowers presents the Eckerd 75 is on tap Wednesday night, May 25, featuring the Advance Auto Parts Modified Super DIRT Series. Adult reserved seats are $25 with children admitted for just $5.

The O'Reilly Southern All Star late models take to the four-tenths-mile clay oval Friday night, May 27, for a doubleheader with the new CRASHCar division. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
