2005 Souvenir Blow-Out
The 13th annual day-after-Thanksgiving event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., offers each fan who spends at least $50 on souvenirs or tickets or donates $25 to Speedway Children's Charities the opportunity to drive their personal vehicle two laps around the track.
This once-a-year opportunity puts fans in the tire tracks of Jimmie Johnson who dominated NASCAR NEXTEL Cup racing this season at Charlotte Motor Speedway, winning May's Coca-Cola 600 and the UAW-GM Quality 500 in October.
Tickets for the May 20 NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge and the May 28 Coca-Cola 600 are the perfect gift for those with NASCAR fans on their holiday shopping list and the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office will be open throughout the event.
As a special one-day offer, each ticket purchased for the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge or the Coca-Cola 600 will be accompanied by a free ticket for CTC Pole Night qualifying on Thursday, May 25.
In addition to numerous track souvenirs, Charlotte Motor Speedway offers a wide selection of driver apparel along with memorabilia from the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. Non-racing apparel, focusing mainly on women's clothing, will also be available. Souvenir prices will start at just $1 with T-shirts selling for as little as $3.
NASCAR souvenir rigs will blanket the track's front entrance offering drastically reduced prices on a wide variety of memorabilia, T-shirts, hats, posters and die-cast cars. Nearly 30 vendors featuring merchandise from top NASCAR NEXTEL Cup drivers, including Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart, are expected.
