When NASCAR fans arrive at Lowe's Motor Speedway for the May 17 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and the May 25 Coca-Cola 600, they will be greeted by 22,850 refurbished frontstretch grandstand seats that will enhance their race-day experience.
A new steel and aluminum structure is being built over the lower concrete bleacher sections of the Chrysler, Ford and General Motors grandstands along the front straightaway. The concrete sections being covered were the facility's original frontstretch seats when the 1.5-mile track opened in 1960.
The new steel and aluminum structure covers 105,000 square feet. It features 20-inch wide, multi-colored stadium seats with backs and arms and the width of each row is being increased to give fans additional leg room.
Handrails are being added down the center of each aisle and the aisles will be wider for easier ingress and egress. Additional handicap-seating accommodations are also part of construction.
This renovation project is a direct result of listening to feedback from you, our fans, and we look forward to providing a better race day experience for you this May!
Be the first to take advantage of the fantastic upgrades to Lowe's Motor Speedway! The new seats will be from rows 5-25 in all sections of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler. Call 1-800-455-FANS for further details or click here to purchase online!
