Kyle Busch Dominates Dollar General 300
Kyle Busch took home the trophy for the Dollar General 300 in the No. 18 Z-Line Designs Toyota. Busch led 137 of 200 laps to pick up his fifth NASCAR Nationwide Series victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
"Jason [Ratcliff] and the guys did a great job for me. I can't thank them enough. It was really a car that was on rails," Busch said. "I think this is just a great race track for me. I love this place. It's been really good to me in the past. It's just one of my favorite race tracks. I was excited about coming here. I knew this was a great track for me."
Mike Bliss, driver of the No. 11 Ridemakerz.com Toyota, picked up a second-place finish. It was his fifth top-10 finish in 10 starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
"I'm excited about that finish," Bliss said. "I hadn't really thought about top-five. I was just worried about getting to the next race. This ride here just came up Monday, and it's actually going to be for three races. I've got to make the best out of what I have right now, you know, whatever it is. Homestead and Phoenix I have nothing."
Third-place finisher Dave Blaney, No. 87 AccuDoc Toyota, said, "I haven't had the chance to race much this year. I had a really good race car. They told me that was actually the car I won with in 2006, right here at this race track. It was fun. The racing was great. The car was good right off the bat."
Brian Vickers and Carl Edwards rounded out the top five. There were six cautions for a total of 31 laps and 12 lead changes between eight drivers. Full Dollar General 300 results are available.
