When the 19th Goodguys Southeastern Nationals returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend, car enthusiasts are sure to get more than their share of all things vintage automobiles.

The show, running Oct. 26-28, includes more than 2,500 hot rods, customs, classics, street machines, muscle cars and trucks through 1972 vintage in the infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway. Lil’ deuce coupes, hot rod roadsters, chopped Mercury customs, Hemi Cudas, Six Pack Challengers, Boss 429 Mustangs, Pontiac GTOs and many other types of specialty vehicles will be on display. But that’s just the beginning. The weekend also includes:

AUTOCROSS: The high-revving and tire-screeching Goodguys AutoCross takes place all three event days. The Autocross offers event participants a chance to put their car through this challenging road course. Cars will be put through cornering, acceleration and braking trials while trying to run the fastest lap time.

SATURDAY EVENING TRACK CRUISE: On Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m., all event participants are invited to cruise their vintage cars, classic automobiles and hot rods around the high banks at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Hundreds of spectacular cars will shine under the lights during the cruise, which has become a tradition at the Goodguys fall auto classic.

SUNDAY GET-TOGETHER: Held on Sunday, the Goodguys Super Sunday Get-Together is a special event inside the event which welcomes all years, makes and models of American-powered cars and trucks to the event. Late model American muscle like the new generation Camaro, Mustang, GTO, Challenger, Charger and more are welcome to show alongside the vintage cars.

SWAP MEET: The automotive swap meet will offer rare and hard to find automotive equipment. The swap meet is a great place to get used or impossible-to-find automotive parts at rock bottom prices.

AUTO TRADER CLASSICS CAR CORRAL: This is the place to find great deals on all kinds of automobiles. Great buys will be featured in this high performance used car lot. Hundreds of cars are expected to be available for sale.

VENDOR EXHIBITS: More than 100 performance automotive companies will exhibit products and hold demonstrations throughout the show. Enthusiasts will get the chance to talk directly with manufacturer representatives, buy automotive related products at special prices and ask consumer related questions.

AWARDS CEREMONY: The event will close Sunday afternoon at 2:22 p.m. with the awards ceremony. More than 100 of the event’s top cars will parade in front of the entertainment stage.

The 19th annual Goodguys Southeastern Nationals runs Oct. 26-28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.good-guys.com or at the gate on event days. Adult tickets are $18 per day. Tickets for children 13 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Parking is $5.
