Charlotte Motor Speedway Gets in the Summer Olympics Spirit with Inaugural Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Olympics
As the world turns its attention to the London Olympic Games, kids can go for the gold in their very own Olympics Tuesday night during Round Six of the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
In addition to a full slate of Legend Car and Bandolero racing, kids 13 and under can sign up for the inaugural Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series Olympics. Children can compete in one of three challenges on the infield of the frontstretch quarter-mile oval, including tug of war, an egg toss and a dizzy bat tire roll challenge. Winners of each game will receive a Summer Shootout Series Olympics gold medal to take home.
Children can register for the games in the POWERADE Play Zone from 5 p.m. until the start of opening ceremonies at approximately 7 p.m.
Tuesday is also Summer Camp and Scouts Night. Young fans are encouraged to wear their summer camp shirt or scout uniform to gain free admission.
The first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive a free water bottle courtesy of title sponsor, Jack in the Box. Plus, kids can have fun in the POWERADE Play Zone, featuring bounce houses, interactive games, face painting and more.
Fans can enter to win a pair of tickets to the Circle K Back-to-School Monster Truck Bash presented by Polar Pop, coming up Aug. 11 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. They can also register at the U.S. Legend Cars International booth to win a Legend Car driving school session.
Tickets for the Summer Shootout Series are $7 for adults and free for kids 13 and under. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with preliminary action starting at 5:10 p.m. Opening ceremonies are at 7:00 p.m. and feature races are scheduled to conclude by approximately 10 p.m.
