Charlotte Motor Speedway's New Family Seating Section Promises to Revolutionize the Family Experience at NASCAR Events
Charlotte Motor Speedway has revolutionized the family experience at NASCAR events by creating the most family-friendly grandstand in all of motorsports. The brand new Family Seating Section will make its debut during the Dollar General 300 on Oct. 15 and the Bank of America 500 on Oct.16.
The new family-oriented environment will give parents with young children the option to sit in a smoke-and-alcohol-free family section, as well as provide kid-friendly activities throughout the weekend. The Family Seating Section will be located in the Toyota Fourth Turn Terrace grandstand.
In addition to the special seating section, numerous entertainment options for the kids will be conveniently located on the concourse directly below the Family Seating Section. The concourse will feature an inflatable monster truck bounce house, a face painter, a caricature artist and a display by Plaster Creations, where children paint NASCAR themed ornaments.
Lug Nut, the world’s fastest mascot, will also make special appearances, along with his friends Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and Woodstock from the Peanuts Gang at Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte, N.C.
The Family Seating Section concourse will offer a picnic and seating area with kid-friendly concession stands for meal or break time. Included on the menu is a kids’ meal consisting of peanut butter and jelly, carrot sticks, apple slices and a juice box.
Racing-themed booster seats will be available for use free of charge for the viewing convenience of the speedway’s smaller fans. In addition, special blue and pink ear muffs for children’s hearing protection will be available for purchase.
The Charlotte Motor Speedway Coca-Cola Fan Van will also be parked underneath the Family Seating Section and offer family fun and entertainment for children of all ages. Families can play cornhole, compete in NASCAR-simulated racing on one of four gaming stations, rock out with Guitar Hero or try a refreshing sample of Powerade Play.
Parents visiting the Fan Van will have the opportunity to sign their children up for the Little Luggies Race Club, a kids club at Charlotte Motor Speedway that centers around the speedway’s official mascot, Lug Nut. The club helps all the little racers join in the speedway’s fun and receive emails, a birthday postcard, and special prizes from Lug Nut.
Seats in the Family Seating Section are affordably priced at just $25 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under for the Dollar General 300 on Oct. 15 and $49 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under for the Bank of America 500 on Oct. 16.
Tickets for the Family Seating Section and all October races at Charlotte Motor Speedway can be purchased online or by calling the speedway ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS (3267). The Bank of America Fan 4 Pack includes tickets, hot dogs and Coca-Cola drinks starting at just $39.75 per person or fans can get four nights of great racing with the Bank of America 500 Week Super Ticket for just $99.
