David Ragan pulled off a win in Sprint Showdown to race his way into the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Brad Keselowski finished second and also transfered into the main event. Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Sprint Fan Vote to receive the final transfer spot.

“I told everyone going into this race it was going to be a hard one," said Ragan. "To get into this race is going to be a bonus. I’m very pumped up to be in this race tonight. We have been so close. We have sat on the pole the past two races, and this time we were finally able to pull it off and get this Sprint Showdown trophy. I’ve been to victory lane here but not for a big car race. We’ve got a very fast Ford. I think a Ford has a great chance to win this All-Star race. We were fast and able to close the deal.  Our car was good. Track position is so important. These races are won and lost on the restarts. A restart is going to determine the winner of the Coca-Cola 600. Clean air is so important. It’s a testament to how good our car was. I thought, ‘I don’t need to wreck us both.”
