John Force Racing Road Show Invades Charlotte in Advance of Sept. 15-18 O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals
Four of John Force Racing’s most famous nitro Funny Cars will be on display throughout the Charlotte, N.C., region in advance of and during the fourth annual O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals, Sept. 15-18, at zMAX Dragway.
Unveiled at the beginning of 2011 as a way to create new fans and grow the sport of drag racing, the John Force Racing Road Show consists of famous John Force Racing nitro Funny Car Ford Mustangs, an apparel trailer and interactive displays. The road show has been traveling around the country in conjunction with the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series as well as making stops at fairs, airports, stores and other sporting events, including the Indianapolis 500.
“I love this sport and I want as many people to see my hot rods as possible,” said Force. “I know once fans see my Mustangs and maybe watch a video, they will want to see more. We have a great sport and NHRA is a great partner. I want to do everything I can so my sponsors, my drivers and our sport can continue to succeed.”
The John Force Racing Road Show will bring four show cars including John Force’s Warbird, Superman and Elvis Funny Cars, as well as Ashley Force Hood’s Queen of Hearts Funny Car to the Charlotte area for display.
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10-11, the John Force Racing Funny Cars will be on display at Concord Mills Mall, Town and Country Ford off Independence Blvd., Charlotte Douglas International Airport and the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Fans can stop by and see the four show cars in front of Charlotte Motor Speedway, Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 12-14, from 9-6 pm, as well as the 9/11 Honoring Our Heroes Funny Car Force will drive at the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals.
