Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 2 Miller Light Dodge, held off a hard-charging Jamie McMurray to win the Coca-Cola 600 for the first time. He is the seventh driver to win both the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and the Coca-Cola 600 in the same year.

“It’s a prestigious race, it’s a tough race and most of all it’s a team race. This was a fantastic job by my guys. They battled all day long to keep me up front,” said Busch.

“This was a race for the ages. To have a car as good as it was in the day time I was afraid of it at night. I didn’t know if it was going to be able to give me the handle like it had early on in the race. And it played out in our favor. I’m speechless in the fact that we swept both races.”

The victory is Busch’s first points paying win at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  McMurray, driver of the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Chevrolet, finished second, and Kyle Busch, driver of the M&M's Pretzel Toyota finished in the third position. Full results are available here.
