Late Models and Modifieds Ready to Kick Off Race Week at Charlotte Motor Speedway Oct. 12
“The Greatest Show on Dirt” drops the green flag on Bank of America 500 Race Week at Charlotte Motor Speedway with the World of Outlaws Late Model Showdown at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, Oct. 12.
The World of Outlaws dirt late models will compete head-to-head on the lightning-fast four-tenths-mile clay oval as the series’ points battles heat up.
Among the more than 40 drivers expected to challenge for the top prize in the 50-lap feature are World of Outlaws points leader Rick Eckert; defending Late Model Showdown winner and reigning two-time series champion Josh “Rocket Man” Richards; along with series regulars Shane Clanton, Vic Coffey, Chub Frank, Austin Hubbard, Darrell Lanigan, Tim McCreadie and Clint Smith.
In addition to World of Outlaws racing, the modifieds of the National Dirt Racing Association’s Modz “Road Show” presented by Roush Yates Performance Parts will end their inaugural season at The Dirt Track after the conclusion of the Late Model Showdown.
Drivers will sign autographs on the concourse when the gates open at 5 p.m. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:20 p.m. with the World of Outlaws Late Model Showdown scheduled to start at 9:10 p.m.
Tickets are just $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under for reserved seats to the Late Model Showdown.
Fans who want to attend the World of Outlaws Late Model Showdown and the World Finals, Nov. 3-5, have the opportunity to receive five percent savings on tickets and get VIP parking when they purchase the Late Model Double Down package.
