Charlotte Motor Speedway is gearing-up for Carolina Christmas, a spectacular five-mile drive-through Christmas light park and village. Open nightly from Nov. 23 through Dec. 31, excluding Christmas Day, Carolina Christmas will be one of the largest holiday light shows in the United States. Here are just a few of the attractions, displays and unique offerings that await Carolina Christmas visitors.

Antlers for the Kids, Gift Bags for Each Car at Carolina Christmas
Carolina Christmas goers can expect to receive a few goodies at the ticket booths before they enter the holiday light show. Each child will receive a reindeer antler headband, supplied by Kangaroo Express and every car will get a goodie bag filled with coupons, a coloring book provided by Carolinas Medical Center and a gift card from Bojangles’.

World’s Largest LED Netting, Stock Cars Fill Frontstretch Grandstands
The frontstretch grandstands and catch-fencing through Charlotte Motor Speedway’s tri-oval will come alive with light displays for Carolina Christmas. The world’s largest continuous LED Christmas light netting, custom-designed for the speedway, will cover 20,000 square feet along the speedway’s 22-foot high catch-fencing on the frontstretch. Also, more than 30 stock car light displays will fill the frontstretch grandstands, along with six giant stop lights. Carolina Christmas visitors can enjoy the animated displays as they drive their vehicles on the track’s frontstretch.

Carolina Christmas Visitors Can Tune-in to 91.1 for Holiday Music, NASCAR Greetings
Once Carolina Christmas visitors enter the zMAX Dragway area, they can tune their radio to 91.1 FM to get in a festive mood with a continuous loop of holiday music. In between songs, visitors will also hear recorded holiday greetings from some of their favorite NASCAR legends and drivers, including Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kurt Busch.

Area Churches Make Bethlehem Village Come Alive
A large-scale Nativity scene with more than 30 participants and live animals will greet visitors to the Bethlehem Village at Carolina Christmas. Actors from several churches, including Concord, N.C., area churches Concord Christian Church, Saint James Lutheran Church and Roberta Baptist Church, will serve as the Bethlehem townspeople.

Custom Light Displays Include Lowe’s Patriotic Alley
More than 600 custom light displays will line the route as a part of Carolina Christmas. Displays include Toyland, an animated toy factory with dolls, drums and rocking horses; Rudolph’s Flight School, with parachuting deer in flight; and Lowe’s Patriotic Alley, a tribute to servicemen and women featuring a Vietnam War Memorial and Statue of Liberty.

Charities Benefit with Festival of Trees Decorated by Area Organizations
The Festival of Trees at Carolina Christmas, located in the Coca-Cola Igloo in the Charlotte Motor Speedway infield, will feature holiday trees decorated by area companies and non-profit groups. Many of the trees will be donated to charity. Some of the organizations expected to decorate trees in the display include Quaker Steak and Lube, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Merle Norman & Day Spa, Vanity Hair & Tan, Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte, Relay for Life and the Dale Jr. Foundation.

Take a Photo with Santa; Watch Elves Make Toys in Santa’s Elf Workshop
No need to head to the mall this year to get your child’s photo taken with Santa, have one taken at the speedway! In addition to photos with Santa, each Carolina Christmas visitor may also take special photos with a NASCAR stock car or the Christmas-themed pace car featuring Lugnut, the world’s fastest mascot. Santa’s elves will also give live wooden-toy-making demonstrations throughout the evening in the Santa’s Live Elf Workshop.
