Track Drives, Catchfence Climbs and Fantastic Black Friday Savings Await Fans at the Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out
Thousands of race fans will visit Charlotte Motor Speedway this Friday, Nov. 25, to experience great deals, the traditional track drive and new contests during the 19th annual Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out.
Below are some of the activities that fans can enjoy at this year’s spectacular day-after-Thanksgiving event.
Fans Get Opportunity to Drive Personal Vehicle on Track
Race fans will get the opportunity to drive their personal vehicles on the famed 1.5-mile superspeedway during the Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out. Shoppers who spend at least $50 on merchandise or race tickets, or donate $25 to Speedway Children’s Charities during the annual event, will be allowed to drive their personal vehicle for three laps around the track.
Apex, N.C., native, Michael Nay is returning for his fourth consecutive year for his chance to drive around legendary Charlotte Motor Speedway.
“The main attraction for me is the ability to drive around the track,” said Nay about the Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out. “I usually pay up my tickets for next year and get a couple vouchers so I can go around the track a couple times. I enjoy the experience with family and friends, and the experience of the track itself in my own vehicle.”
This chance of a lifetime allows fans to see the track like never before and feel the 24-degree banking in the turns, putting them in the tire tracks of NASCAR legends such as Bobby Allison, Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, David Pearson and Richard Petty.
Climb the Catchfence Like 2011 Champion Tony Stewart
Tony Stewart fans will have a chance to win some cool prizes at this year’s Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out. In honor of the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, the first 14 fans wearing Tony Stewart gear to sign up in the ticket office on Nov. 25 will get to climb the catchfence at Charlotte Motor Speedway and grab the checkered flag to claim a prize. Prizes include vouchers for 2012 race tickets, pit passes or Stewart merchandise.
Unbelievable Deals on Driver Merchandise
Fans can get one-of-a-kind savings on driver and Charlotte Motor Speedway merchandise during the Souvenir and Race Ticket Blow-Out. A full line of NASCAR memorabilia and apparel will be available at drastically reduced prices with many items selling for only $1 and hats and shirts starting at just $3. More than 15 NASCAR souvenir rigs are expected to be on hand with driver merchandise from 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano, Ryan Newman, Danica Patrick and more.
