The Carolina Crown Drum Band from Rock Hill, S.C., provided the upbeat tempo for the NEXTEL All-Star Challenge driver introductions.

Crew Chief Quotes:

Scott Miller (No. 31 AT&T Chevrolet): "We didn't have enough for the best cars. I think we finished about where we deserved to finish as far as speed goes. We were just a little bit too tight there in traffic. When we got out on our own, we were pretty quick. Once we got to another car we just got too tight to run that pace. I'm glad we kept it in the company. Kevin [Harvick] did a great job. He did a fantastic job on those restarts, holding them off there at the end. A good job for the company."

Steve Letarte (No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet): "The all-star race is always a crap shoot. We have a great set-up for the 600. I can't wait to go 50 laps on a run. When you put on new tires, it really hurts when you have 20-lap runs. We had a flat tire. I think we had a chance at it. That's all you can ask for. After our Darlington finish and that motor not breaking, it's hard to complain about a flat tire tonight."

Greg Zipadelli (No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet): "We knew that we were going to have to work on our car all night to get it up there. We weren't very good in practice. We haven't been very good over here since they repaved this place and the hard tires. We took it slow and we worked on it and worked on it. Tony did a great job. And we got a top-five out of it. I think we built a little confidence and momentum for next week."

Todd Berrier (NEXTEL All-Star Challenge winner Kevin Harvick): "This is pretty huge. I'm usually not a fan of this race because we usually leave with a torn-up car. To come out of here with a win is pretty awesome. We've won the two biggest races this year, but there are still a lot of races to go."

Ryan Pemberton (third-place finisher Mark Martin): "It was a good night for us considering how we got started yesterday by blowing an engine. We had a lot to overcome. This kind of effort makes me very optimistic heading into next weekend. Tonight shows what this team is capable of and I'm proud of all these guys."
