A Journey for 9/11: In the final press announcement of the evening, George Martin, former NFL player with the New York Giants, from South Carolina, has been walking across America to benefit sick World Trade Center Ground Zero rescue and recovery workers. He stopped at Lowe's Motor Speedway to participate in today's NASCAR Foundation walk held this morning. Martin has called his effort "A Journey for 9/11." He began the walk on the New York side of the George Washington Bridge on September 16 and will end it at the Golden Gate Bridge in about four months. Also with Martin was Patrick Hickey, also from South Carolina, who was the last person to climb Mount Everest. When he achieved the feat, he had taken a Jeff Gordon flag to plant at the top of the mountain.
