Coca-Cola 600 Pit Note # 7
Jimmy Fennig (no. 6 Roush/AAA Insurance Ford, driver David Ragan) - "I don't care if he's happy or not. I care if I am and I'm fairly happy. I'm sleeping in my own bed tonight."
Chad Knaus (no. 48 Hendrick/Lowe's Chevrolet, driver Jimmie Johnson) - "He can't figure out what's wrong, and I can't either."
Todd Barrier (no. 31 Childress/AT&T Mobility Chevrolet, driver Jeff Burton) - "All of the [Richard] Childress cars are struggling. We don't know."
Todd Parrott (no. 28 Yates Racing/Lumber Liquidators Ford, driver Travis Kvapil) - "We're just not fast enough."
Kenny Francis (no. 9 Budweiser Dodge technical director for Kasey Kahne) - "We're fairly happy with the Budweiser Dodge. It's pretty decent. We started off practice pretty good and then the car got a little free on us. We played with a few little things during practice and by the end of practice we got the car pretty snug. We feel like we know where we're at and have a good starting place to start. I think everybody thought we were kind of a dark horse here last weekend. I feel like we've been kind of building up to running this well all year long and had quite a few good finishes. We've had a few lightning bolts that hit us in three straight races that kind of knocked us down in the points. Hopefully, we've got all that out of the way now and we're understanding our cars better."
Steve Addington (no. 18 M&Ms Toyota crew chief for Kyle Busch) - "We're pretty happy. After practice Kyle said the track was a whole lot like it was last Saturday night during the All-Star Race. We started Happy Hour way too free. We were way too loose. We got it back to where it needed to be during that last run in practice. As far as tomorrow goes I don't know whether we're going to bury everybody else like everybody thinks."
Greg Zipadelli (no. 20 Home Depot Toyota crew chief for Tony Stewart) - "I think we're going to be in good shape. The driver seems to be happy. We were a lot better in that second practice than we were in the first practice. The lap times seemed to be good, so we're excited. We're starting in the back so we're going to have to have a good race car. It drives good so if we can survive the first third of the race and get track position I think we're going to be in pretty good shape."
