Let the Troops Race Update – Patriotic race fans and companies purchased 3,010 tickets for U.S. servicemen and women through the Let the Troops Race program. On April 20, Charlotte Motor Speedway announced the promotion to allow the purchase of discounted $20 tickets to the Coca-Cola 600 so members of the U.S. military could attend the nation's largest Memorial Day Weekend celebration. The promotion ended Wednesday; tickets purchased through the program will be distributed by the United Service Organizations (USO) to troops from the U.S. armed forces. 

"When we announced we were providing 3,000 tickets to soldiers and families from Fort Bragg, we challenged the fans and many of our corporate partners to match it," said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. "This response has been tremendous. The NASCAR family of fans, teams and corporate partners is so thankful for the sacrifices made every day around the world by America's military, and especially for those who've given their lives to protect our freedoms. We look forward to hosting these troops and their families for a spectacular 51st Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday."

OUT! Pet Care New Sponsor on Bayne’s Nationwide Series Car – Diamond-Waltrip Racing announced today that OUT! Pet Care is a new primary sponsor of the No. 99 Toyota driven by Trevor Bayne in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The pet care company will be on the car for 18 out of the final 24 races of the 2010 season, starting this weekend in the TECH-NET Auto Service 300 powered by CARQUEST Auto Parts.

“Out! Pet Care is the perfect partner for Trevor and his race team, and we’re so excited that they’ve joined our team and they’ve joined the NASCAR Nationwide Series,” said Michael Waltrip, co-owner of Diamond-Waltrip Racing.

OUT! Pet Care specializes in cleaning products to assist with pet waste. As part of this new sponsorship, OUT! Pet Care has created the “Top Dog of the Week” contest in which race fans can enter to win a chance to have their pet’s picture on Bayne’s car.

Pet Care President and CEO Roger Morgan. “We are very pleased with the power of NASCAR and the ability to reach out to our consumers and our fans, the pet owners. Two-thirds of all NASCAR fans own a pet, and so this is an opportunity to for us to really partner and reach out to those pet owners – those pet parents – in a special way.”

For the remaining six races in which OUT! Pet Care will be off of the car, Aaron’s will continue to be primary sponsor on the No. 99 car.
