Vehicles of all types came out to participate during the fourth week of Summer Drag and Brag at zMAX Dragway. From several jacked-up or tricked-out pickups, to a Camaro car club, to the family’s Honda, there was something for everyone at this week’s Drag and Brag.

Beautiful weather welcomed round three of Summer Drag and Brag at zMAX Dragway. More than 100 cars competed during the evening, from drag racing machines to station wagons. In the Gambler’s Race, Alex Thompson was victorious in his Chevrolet Camaro, while Chris Perry finished second in his Ford Mustang.

Even though temperatures rose into the 90s at the Bellagio of drag strips, grassroots drag racers from all over the area came out to make a run during round 2 of Summer Drag & Brag at zMAX Dragway. Highlighting the night was the Gambler’s Race. Colby Holder, of Kannapolis, N.C., was victorious over second place Russell Pryor, of Monroe, N.C.

Despite cloudy skies over zMAX Dragway, the first round of the Summer Drag and Brag Series featured great racing for all types of vehicles, from classic Camaros to street bikes and everything in between on Wednesday night. Racers took to the Bellagio of drag strips for bragging rights in several categories.
