Fur will fly as Mascot Mania returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Tuesday, June 16, for the third round of the Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series, which features the best grassroots racers from around the country doing battle in seven Legends Car and Bandolero divisions.
In addition to a full slate of Legends Car and Bandolero racing, Lug Nut will return to the track to defend his Mascot Mania title. The world's fastest mascot will aim to eliminate his Charlotte-area competition as they race to the checkered flag on the lightning-fast frontstretch quarter-mile. To spice up the action, the drivers will catapult dodge balls at one another. If struck, the driver must restart from the back of the pack.
Racers scheduled to join Lug Nut for the mascot melee include Sir Purr, of the NFL's Carolina Panthers; Hugo, of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets; Chubby, of the Charlotte Checkers minor league hockey team; Norm the Niner, of the Charlotte 49ers; Tim E. Gator, of the Kannapolis Intimidators minor league baseball team; RevPar, of the Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau; Bo the Chicken, of Bojangles'; and Big Stuff, of Winthrop University.
Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite Charlotte-area team's apparel as they cheer on their favorite mascots and drivers during the third round of the Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series.
The Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series provides affordable family entertainment and gives fans the opportunity to see future NASCAR superstars race in seven different divisions.
