The Southeast’s largest drive-thru holiday light show features more than 5 million lights on a four-mile course circling the iconic oval, pit road and infield road course. The show is open 6-10 p.m., rain or shine, and features synchronized lights-to-music on 101.3 FM, plus drive-in movies on the gigantic Speedway TV!

Traffic Tip: Friday and Saturday nights in December are traditionally the busiest nights and guests may experience extended wait times for entry. Consider Sunday-Thursday nights for quicker entry and arrive early.

Speedway Christmas FAQ

Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health features a dedicated Express Lane entry every Thursday-Sunday night through Dec. 28, 2025. For $80-$85 per vehicle (up to 15 passengers), guests can skip the wait! To access the Express Lane, visitors should enter at Entrance P off of Morehead Road and follow the signs.

Advance purchase light show passes are available but not required. Drive-up passes are available at the gate. All advanced tickets must be purchased for the specific night that you plan to attend. If you are unsure of when you will attend, purchasing a pass when you arrive might be best. For the best experience, it is recommended that you download your digital tickets prior to arriving at the speedway.

Yes! New in 2025, we are now offering a Season Pass that can be purchased for the express or general admission entry lanes. All season passes must be purchased online. A season pass for the Express Lane costs $200. A season pass for the general admission lanes costs $125. Anyone who presents a season pass must also present an ID matching the purchaser's name.

Yes.  On-site ticket booths will accept any major credit card, Apple/Google Pay, or cash as payment.

The Christmas Village is located on the infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway within the Xfinity Series garage. The infield Christmas Village is open Thursday-Sunday nights. Anyone with a Thursday-Sunday vehicle pass is welcome to stop and visit at no additional charge.

The infield Christmas Village is open Thursday-Sunday nights.  Village highlights include an illuminated walking trail, the Atrium Health 360-degree selfie camera, photos with Santa, merchandise vendors, food and beverage and fire pits for roasting s’mores.

Food: Donuts, chicken tenders, BBQ, turkey legs, pitas, gyros, ice cream, candy and much more are available for purchase in the Christmas village!

Beverages: Soft drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, water, seasonal mixed drinks, beer and wine will be available for purchase.

Alcohol sales will close at 9 p.m. in accordance with NC alcohol mandates. All other concessions close at 10 p.m.

Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health is open nightly Nov. 21 - Jan. 4, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The show will be closed Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. CLICK HERE for a full event calendar and follow the speedway’s social media channels for updates.

If you are in line on Charlotte Motor Speedway property at 10 p.m., you will be given the opportunity to purchase a vehicle pass and enjoy the light display. If you are in line on surrounding roads near Charlotte Motor Speedway at 10 p.m., access to the property will be closed and you will be asked to return to enjoy the show another night.

We will do our best to notify the public as quickly as possible if we must close due to bad weather conditions.

Yes, dogs are permitted to participate as long as they stay in the vehicle when your family visits the Christmas Village.

All sales are final and promotions and discounts cannot be added retroactively. All advanced tickets must be purchased for the specific night that you plan to attend. One vehicle pass is redeemable for one carload (up to 15 passengers) entry to Speedway Christmas.

Yes, please turn off your headlights when you drive through the Speedway Christmas display.  If you cannot turn your lights off, please turn your lights on dim.

Unfortunately, due to insurance regulations, motorcycles are not permitted through the Speedway Christmas light show display.

Unfortunately, due to insurance regulations, guests riding in the bed of a pickup truck or trailer motorcycles are not permitted through the Speedway Christmas light show display. All guests should be seated and properly restrained while driving through the light show.

Yes. The Cook Out Tubing Hill is located inside the Christmas Village. Adults and children 12 and under can enjoy unlimited one-day rides on the tubing hill for $15

Yes. A child must be over 36’ tall to ride a tube alone. For any children not meeting that requirement, they can ride with a paying adult.

Tickets to the tubing hill can be purchased upon arrival at the ticket booth located beside the tubing hill inside the Christmas Village. Tubing hill tickets will NOT be available for purchase online or at a Speedway Christmas light show ticket booth.
