The stakes were high and the action was all-in at Cook Out Summer Shootout’s Night of Games presented by Bojangles, as drivers rolled the dice and raced for glory across eight divisions. London McKenzie cashed in big in the Dilling Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical Pro feature, while Landon Thrasher played his cards right to come out on top in the Outlaw division.

In a “jeopardized” start from a shaky beginning, it was an all-out battle to Victory Lane for Lightning London McKenzie, weaving his way to first in Round 5 of the Dilling Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical Pro division.

Keelan Harvick, who started on the pole, was in full control, leading 22 of 25 laps, until a late PRO-FABrication Headers & Exhaust caution bunched the field and hit pause on his cruise to victory. With McKenzie lined up behind Harvick going into Lap 22, diving low in Turn 2, McKenzie, playing a bump-and-run to end the feud for first.

With McKenzie in first with three laps to go, the second caution of the night collected five cars, including runner-up Harvick. Now, the checkered flag in sight, McKenzie charged his way to his second Dilling Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical Pro win of the season.

Mckenzie finished ”UNO” with Harvick, “Sorry” to take second position. Jake Bollman connected the dots, outlasting Tyler Reif for third while Nick Woodall rounded out the top five.

THRASHERS MINUTE TO WIN IT VICTORY

In a battle for the top spot, Landon Thrasher kept his eye on the prize to come out victorious yet again, outlasting the field to mark his fourth Outlaw win of the season.

Despite Thrasher qualifying on the pole, following a dicey invert, James Monolo started at the front of the pack and kept his cards close, maintaining a strong lead for seven laps. With Thrasher sitting in sixth place, chaos unfolded on the track as the battle for the top spot began. As tensions rose, Thrasher seized the moment and strategically surged to the front on Lap 7.

With three Outlaw wins on the board, Thrasher continued to dominate the field, as Rylan Speight and Carson Sherman chased him down for second. After a bobble from Thrasher on Lap 11, Sherman closed in, skillfully capitalizing on Thrasher’s mishap to take the lead.

With Thrasher putting up a fierce competition, Sherman was stripped of the lead after four laps and slowly fell behind as the top five continued to fight wheel-to-wheel. Thrasher crossed the finish line first, claiming his fourth win of the season. Sherman secured second with Chase Spaulding settling for third. Carson Cauble finished fourth and Jackson Jones wrapped up the top five.

BUSCH PLAYS TO WIN

Going for the double, Brexton Busch dominated Monday night at Cook Out Summer Shootout — scoring his first Legend Car win in the Chargers division and notching his fourth Bandolero Bandits victory at the Cook Out Summer Shootout. After qualifying on the pole in both classes, “B-Rex” led all 20 laps for the Chargers and came out on top again in Bandits, to collect his fifth win of the season.

Also collecting checkered flags and cashing in during the Night of Games were Josh Davenport (Beginner Bandoleros), Ben Morabito (Young Lions), Neil Dulin (VP Fuels Semi-Pro) and Josh Mullins (American Rebel Ale Masters).
