NASCAR and Charlotte Motor Speedway officials announced that the rain-delayed North Carolina Education Lottery 200 CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race will be run at 10 a.m. on Sunday, ahead of the sold-out 67th running of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Originally scheduled for Friday, persistent rain forced the delay to Saturday. Crews continued to fight wet weather throughout Saturday before announcing the move to Sunday. Corey Day and Layne Riggs will start on the front row when the green flag flies.
Gates will open for Friday ticket holders at 9 a.m. Parking lots will open at 8:30 a.m., and the Speed Street fan zone will open at 10 a.m. At the conclusion of the race, crews will sweep the grandstands and reopen gates for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 ticket holders at 2:30 p.m. Track Pass access for the Brad Paisley concert and driver introductions will also open at 2:30 p.m. The speedway’s annual Memorial Day weekend Salute the Troops pre-race show honoring the U.S. Armed Forces will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the green flag for the legendary Coca-Cola 600 scheduled just after 6:00 p.m.
Fans from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and 14 foreign countries across five continents will be on hand for the crown jewel event, which is sold out for the fifth consecutive year.
