One of the Southeast’s largest and most-anticipated holiday traditions, Speedway Christmas presented by Continental Tire and Tire Pros features four million lights strewn across a remarkable four-mile course, with hundreds of creative displays and lights synchronized to Christmas-themed music. The show is open 6-10 p.m. rain or shine and also features synchronized lights to music on 101.3 FM.

Traffic Tip: Friday and Saturday are the busiest nights and guests may experience extended wait times for entry.  Consider Sunday through Thursday nights for quicker entry and arrive early.

NOTE: Speedway Christmas will be closed to the public on Dec. 6-8 for private events.

New for 2021, Speedway Christmas will feature a dedicated Fast Pass entry every Thursday-Sunday night through Dec. 26. For $70 per vehicle (up to 15 passengers), guests can skip the wait! To access the Fast Pass entrance, visitors should enter at Entrance P off of Morehead Road and follow the signs.
Advance purchase light show passes are available but not required. Drive-up passes are available at the gate. Advance ticket pricing varies depending on the night selected, so if you are unsure of when you will attend, a drive-up pass might be best. Those who purchase advance tickets will receive them digitally. Guests are encouraged to download their digital tickets in advance of arriving at the speedway for the best experience.
Yes. On-site ticket booths will accept any major credit card or cash as form of payment.
The infield Christmas Village is back this year! Open Thursday-Sunday nights, village highlights include Photos with Santa, vendor displays, fire pits for roasting s’mores and an indoor movie theater.
Speedway Christmas is a self-paced, drive-thru event. As such, the amount of time it takes to get through the show can vary. The speedway has created dedicated “passing zones” throughout the route to allow drivers the opportunity to bypass slower traffic if desired. Drivers should look for signage posted designating the passing zones.
If you are in line on Charlotte Motor Speedway property at 10 p.m. you will be given the opportunity to purchase a vehicle pass and enjoy the light display. If you are in line on surrounding roads near Charlotte Motor Speedway at 10 p.m., access to the property will be closed and you will be asked to return to enjoy the show another night. NOTE: Traffic is heaviest on Friday and Saturday nights. If your schedule allows, plan to attend Sunday-Thursday night for the best experience. Also, arrive early to beat the crowds.
Yes, dogs are permitted to participate as long as they stay in the vehicle when your family visits the Christmas Village.
All sales are final and promotions and discounts cannot be added retroactively. Tickets are valid any day during the open season.
The show will operate as scheduled rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, we will do our best to notify the public as quickly as possible if we must close. For the latest weather and schedule updates, guests are encouraged to follow Charlotte Motor Speedway on Twitter.
One vehicle pass is redeemable for one carload entry to Speedway Christmas. Standard pricing ($30 Monday-Wednesday; $40 Thursday-Sunday; $70 Fast Pass) is for vehicles up to 15 passengers. Group rates are available for vehicles carrying more than 15 passengers.
Open nightly November 19, 2021 thru Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. with the following exceptions. Closed to the public: Dec. 6-8 for private events and Dec. 24 in honor of Christmas Eve.
Yes, please turn off your headlights when you drive through the Speedway Christmas display. If you cannot turn your lights off, please turn your lights on dim.
Unfortunately, due to insurance regulations, motorcycles are not permitted through the Speedway Christmas light show display.
