Fans attending the April 22-24 NHRA 4-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes Foods at zMAX Dragway will see a spectacle unlike anything else the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series has to offer.

The world's only four-lane drag strip will feature the fastest accelerating cars on the planet delivering a show-stopping display of 40,000 horsepower in every pass, but the excitement doesn't begin and end with an array of nitro-fueled adrenaline rushes. And with every ticket doubling as a pit pass, the value is matched only by the sensation of speed.

Here are four new aspects to the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes Foods that no race fan will want to miss:

  • NITRO OUTRUNS THE SUN: Friday qualifying for the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes Foods will include a one-of-a-kind Night of Fire, as qualifying will begin at 4:30 p.m. and end under the lights. Fans will have a unique opportunity to see cars' huge header flames brighten up the night. Additionally, zMAX Dragway will play host to a four-wide jet car exhibition of power on April 22 and April 23. Four jet engine-powered cars, led by world-renowned jet drag racing veteran Elaine Larson, will exceed 270 mph in passes starting at 8:15 p.m. on April 22;
  • NASCAR DRIVERS WALK IT OUT: NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers Rico Abreu, Matt Crafton, Cameron Hayley and Ben Rhodes from ThorSport Racing will join Kalitta Motorsports Top Fuel racer J.R. Todd in the SealMaster Track Walk prior to racing action in an up-close look at zMAX Dragway's unrivaled quarter-mile stretch of concrete;
  • CHAIN REACTION: The stars of the King BMX Stunt Show, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based show famous for appearing on "America's Got Talent," will showcase their two-wheeled skills right in front of fans, on jumps around the midway area at zMAX Dragway;
  • 'SUPER' NEW 4-WIDE CLASSES: The Super Comp and Super Gas classes will join Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycles for the first time in a three-day, all-out, four-wide assault on the all-concrete quarter-mile. The additional classes mean fans receive extra bang for their buck, with the most passes in the history of the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals presented by Lowes Foods.
