NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Martin Truex Jr. and Furniture Row Racing announced Thursday afternoon that Charlotte, North Carolina-based collision and repair company Maaco will become an associate sponsor on Truex's No. 78 Toyota.

"We are really excited," said Truex, the winner of the Coca-Cola 600 in May. "This has been a tremendous season for Furniture Row Racing and in bringing on new partners. This is just another step in that direction. Maaco is a nationwide company, a huge company. It's definitely an honor to have them come aboard. It's good for our sport and obviously good for our team. Hopefully we can continue to build on this … To bring in a Charlotte-based company with a great track record is huge for us.

"The last five weeks have been pretty incredible for us," Truex continued. "Hopefully here at Charlotte we can continue that. To win here at Charlotte is huge. This has been a fairytale season with the win here back at the Coca Cola 600 then the Southern 500 and then at Dover, which is my home track."

Truex enters Saturday's Bank of America 500, the only Saturday night race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, seeking a victory to advance to the Round of 8.
