Age/Grades vary by event. Clicking on the event you’re interested in will display the options.
We follow all safety protocols set forth by the CDC and the state. These include: Face masks when required; Social distancing observed when required and Hand sanitizing stations provided.
All on-track activities require a signed minor waiver. Waivers can be downloaded from this page.

9:45 a.m. – Students arrive and check in
10 a.m. – STEAM activities begin
12 p.m. – STEAM activities end
12 p.m. – 1 p.m. - Lunch
1 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. – Meet & Greets, racing activities
3 p.m. – Departure
On most Special Event Days, parking will be at zMAX Dragway, 6570 Bruton Smith Blvd., Concord, NC. Ample parking is provided for cars and buses. There is no charge for parking! Registered participants will receive an email one week prior to event to confirm parking location.
Most STEAM activities will be indoors. Occasionally activities will be required to be outside. Picnic lunch, track and pit experiences will be outdoors. Please make sure to wear tennis shoes and sunscreen!
Parents are welcome to stay with their student for the day or you may drop off. Pick-up time is 3 p.m. Drop-off location is at zMAX Dragway, 6570 Bruton Smith Blvd., Concord, NC. Pick-up location varies by event and information will be provided via email one week prior to event.
Two slices of pizza and water are included in student admission. Additional pizza lunch can be purchased online when you register.
Our gift shop is located in the Smith Tower at the main track and is open M-F, 10:00am – 3:00pm. We have a flat penny machine for a Speedway souvenir that takes 2 quarters and 1 penny.
