Charlotte Motor Speedway and BASF have teamed up to bring a fun, educational, and one of a kind motorsports experience to your school with the Mobile Pit Stop!

Get ready to explore the science behind the speed! Students will jump into hands-on experiments to discover the fascinating world of polymers, test how materials respond to different forces, and uncover the science behind race car tires. From slime to the racetrack, kids will see how the properties of polymers help race cars grip, move, turn, and perform at high speeds in motorsports!

The Mobile Pit Stop is available to visit schools within Mecklenburg and Cabarrus Counties and is designed for 4th and 5th grade students. Visits require a 30-student minimum and a 60-student maximum.
