The countdown is underway at Charlotte Motor Speedway as just one month remains until NASCAR’s biggest stars return to America’s Home for Racing for the Bank of America 400 NASCAR Playoff Weekend, Oct. 9-11.
With championship aspirations on the line and the NASCAR Chase in full swing, Charlotte Motor Speedway will host three action-packed days of racing featuring all three of NASCAR’s national series. For the first time since 2017, NASCAR’s fall weekend will return to the legendary 1.5-mile oval, bringing playoff intensity back to one of the sport’s most historic racing surfaces.
The return to the oval will provide a unique challenge for the current generation of NASCAR drivers, with only two active NASCAR Cup Series drivers having previously competed in a fall Cup Series race on Charlotte’s oval configuration. As the sixth race out of 10 Chase battles, every position matters as championship contenders battle for a shot at the title.
The weekend lineup includes:
- Friday, Oct. 9: Ecosave 200 – NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series – 5 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 10: Blue Cross NC 300 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series – 4 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 11: Bank of America 400 – NASCAR Cup Series – 3 p.m.
The Bank of America 400 will serve as a pivotal playoff showdown, as NASCAR’s best drivers compete for a victory at one of the sport’s most iconic venues.
Beyond the on-track action, fans can enjoy a full weekend of entertainment at Charlotte Motor Speedway, including concerts, driver appearances, Fan Zone activities, camping and premium race-day experiences. Country music star Tyler Hubbard will headline Sunday’s pre-race concert before the green flag drops on the Bank of America 400.
