As fireworks lit up the night sky, Round 10 of the 32nd Cook Out Summer Shootout came to a thrilling close. Nearly 180 cars packed the track for Champions Night — a high-stakes, caution-filled finale packed with first-time winners, fierce championship duels and edge-of-your-seat drama from start to finish.

Camden Powers (Beginner Bandoleros), Brexton Busch (Bandits), Carson Sherman (Outlaws), Parker Ives (Chargers), Case James (Young Lions), J.R. Allen (VP Fuels Semi-Pro), Shane Van Gisbergen (Dilling Heating & Cooling Pros), and Kyle Busch (American Rebel Ale Masters) all capped off the season with Round 10 wins, but the night belonged to the champions who outlasted the season-long grind.

SAM HUNT BUS RACING BRINGS THE CHAOS

Champions Night delivered mayhem in classic style as the fan-favorite Sam Hunt Racing school bus smackdown roared around the quarter-mile. With Xfinity driver Dean Thompson waving the green flag, Sam Hunt Racing General Manager Bryan Smith jumped out front in the yellow Rubber Ducky — but Team Owner Sam Hunt, piloting the wild Captain Clutch, wasn’t letting him get away. Hunt muscled past with a bold inside move and never looked back.

The chaos only intensified as Xfinity driver Kaz Grala stormed into second, VP of Business Development Jesse Little and Crew Chief Kris Bowen banged doors for fourth, and Interior Mechanic Jake DePinto nearly tipped the Orange Crush. When the smoke cleared, Hunt celebrated with smoky donuts as Jeffrey Earnhardt called the carnage alongside public address announcer Steve Post..

SVG SCORES FIRST WIN; BOLLMAN LOCKS IN SECOND TITLE

NASCAR Cup Series Playoff driver Shane Van Gisbergen wasn’t leaving CMS without a trophy. After starting third, SVG quickly sliced his way through the Dilling Heating, Colling, Plumbing & Electrical Pros pack, snatching the lead and holding off a stacked field to claim his first-ever oval win — and first Cook Out Summer Shootout victory.

Just behind him, Pro division title contenders Jake Bollman and Tyler Reif started the night side-by-side in both the lineup and the points standings, but as Reif backpedaled to a 10th-place finish, Bollman kept cool under pressure to finish second — strong enough to clinch his second consecutive Pro championship.

Bollman secured the title with 830 points, followed by Danny Chisolm (811), Tyler Reif (810), Keelan Harvick (810) and London McKenzie (794).

BREXTON BUSCH DOMINATES BANDITS, CLAIMS CHAMPIONSHIP

Brexton Busch capped off a spectacular season in the Bandits division with a seventh win, surviving multiple cautions and a late-race crash to finish on top once again. The victory sealed a summer of dominance and a well-earned championship.

“It’s so cool,” Busch said. “I still remember my very first win — and now I’ll never forget winning a championship.”

Busch ended the season with 914 points, followed by Maverick Bradshaw (827), James Behnke (826), Gerald White III (811), and Cale Weavil (760). With this performance, Busch also took over the national Bandits points lead, setting himself up for a strong shot at the overall 2025 season title.

ALLEN BREAKS THROUGH; BUTLER WINS WILD SEMI-PRO TITLE FIGHT

J.R. Allen saved his best for last in the ultra-competitive VP Fuels Semi-Pro division. After starting up front, Allen jumped to the lead on Lap 1 and never flinched, holding off hard-charging rivals to claim his first win of the season — a fitting capstone after a year of multiple top-five finishes.

While Allen took the checkers, Sam Butler sealed the title with a gritty second-place run. In a season with seven winners across 10 rounds, Butler’s two wins and steady top-five performances gave him the edge in one of the tightest battles of the year.

Butler’s championship effort ended with 867 points, ahead of Chase Burgeson (867), Dylan Faulkner (811), Isaac Kitzmiller (775) and Aiden McConnaughey (762).

JAMES SCORES SECOND WIN; MORABITO WINS YOUNG LIONS TITLE

Case James didn’t let Champions Night slip away, scoring his second win of the season in the Young Lions division with a bold move past points leader Ben Morabito on Lap 4. James held off the field through multiple restarts to lock in the finale victory in style.

While James took the spotlight in Round 10, the championship belonged to the ever-consistent Morabito, who secured the title by finishing just behind James in the final race.

Morabito wrapped the year with 860 points, followed by Spencer Bradshaw (839), Colton Hale (832), Case James (811), and Brody Rhodes (785).

SHERMAN WINS THE SHOWDOWN; THRASHER TAKES THE OUTLAWS CROWN

In one of the fiercest battles of the night, Carson Sherman went head-to-head with points leader Landon Thrasher in the Outlaws division. After trading positions and racing bumper-to-bumper, Sherman broke through on Lap 4 and held off Thrasher to power to his second win of the season.

Though Thrasher came home second in Round 10, it was more than enough to lock in the season title. Thrasher’s consistent dominance — including seven wins — cemented his place as the 2025 Outlaws champion.

Thrasher finished the season with 890 points, followed by Sherman (875), Chase Spaulding (830), James Monolo (789) and Rylan Speight (784).

KYLE BUSCH WINS ROUND 10; FAGGART WINS THE MASTERS WAR

NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch closed out his first full Summer Shootout season in the Masters division with a clinic — leading every lap in Round 10 and notching his seventh win of the year. Busch was nearly untouchable, wrapping up a summer of pure speed with another dominant drive.

Behind him, Robby Faggart was steadily racking up points — and his consistency proved championship-worthy. Faggart stayed close all season with two wins of his own, ultimately holding off Busch, who missed two nights of competition this summer, to capture the American Rebel Ale Masters title.

Faggart finished with 852 points, followed by Kyle Beattie (817), Busch (805), Lee Jordan (788) and Jesse Bunnell (785).

IVES FENDS OFF BREXTON BUSCH TO TAKE FIRST CHARGERS WIN

Starting from the pole, Parker Ives lost the lead on Lap 13 but battled back to the front and held off a hard-charging Brexton Busch in the closing laps. The Chargers' finale marked Ives’ first win of the season as he was able to “finally piece it all together.”

Ives took the checkers with Thomas Harris finishing second, Brexton Busch third, Jackson Fooks in fourth and Rhylee Hutchins rounding out the top five.

CAMDEN POWERS TO THIRD WIN IN BEGINNER BANDOS

Camden Powers ended his summer campaign with another standout performance, navigating a chaotic race to claim his third win of the season in the Beginner Bandoleros division. Powers fought through the field and never gave up the lead despite pressure from behind.

Powers was followed by Brody Zacharias in second, Owen Price in third, Brayden Ickler in fourth and Kyle Beattie in fifth.
