Round 4 of Cook Out Summer Shootout delivered a slam dunk night of racing at America’s Home for Racing as Speedway Sports Night mixed fan-favorite games, team spirit and intense action across eight divisions. Fans in the stands joined in on the Sports Night games while drivers battled under the lights for another grassroots showdown.

Preston Wrisley knocked it out of the park in the VP Fuels Semi-Pro division while two-time winner Braden Scott left it all on the field in Chargers in Round 4 competition.

WRISLEY RISES ABOVE THE RIM FOR FIRST SUMMER SHOOTOUT WIN

Preston Wrisley scored a slam-dunk victory in the VP Fuels Semi-Pro division, delivering a dominant performance, maintaining the lead from the drop of the green flag until the checkered. Wrisley’s composure was tested throughout a chaotic race that saw more than five Pro-FABrication cautions, including a grueling 10-minute red-flag on Lap 14.

Instead of letting the delays break his rhythm, Wrisley stayed full-throttle. Following the final restart, Wrisley pulled away from the field and cruised to his first career Cook Out Summer Shootout victory.

“I can’t tell you how many sleepless nights I’ve had losing races, placing second and third,” Wrisley said. “I’m just thankful to be in this position, and I can’t believe I just won at the Cook Out Summer Shootout.”

Behind him, the battle for the remaining podium spots was fierce. Cameron White, Trent Dillard, Colton Hale and brother Sterling Wrisley battled throughout the race, swapping positions before rounding out the top five.

SCOTT SCORED THE VICTORY

The Chargers left it all on the track at America’s Home for Racing, with Braden Scott swinging into action early, securing the lead in Lap 2 and taking it to the endzone without looking back.

The competition never let up as Roo Reeves took the inside route on Turn 3 and chased down a spot in second position. The race ran steadily until a Pro-FABrication caution during Lap 13 caused the lineup to shuffle as Ian Isringhausen clutched position three after a tough battle with Penelope Carlisle.

Scott maintained control of the race throughout the night to secure his second victory of the summer. With two wins already this summer, and a doubleheader coming up next week, Scott only needs one more Chargers victory to advance to the fiercely competitive VP Fuels Semi-Pro division.

Reaves finished second, followed by Isringhausen, Newsome and Craig Biryla to complete the top five.

ROAD TO THE PROS

In true Pro fashion, starting from the pole, 'The Real Deal' Neal Dulin led every lap en route to Victory Lane. The win marked his fourth consecutive top-five finish and second victory of the season as he continues to build momentum in the championship chase. After the race, Dulin summed up his success simply: “Consistency is what makes champions” at Cook Out Summer Shootout.

Also rising to the occasion, Chandler Stanley (Beginner Bandoleros), Roo Reaves (Bandits), Carson Cauble (Outlaws) Colt Johnson (Young Lions), Neal Dulin (Pros) and Kevin Rollins (Dilling Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical Masters) all came ready to play, putting on stellar Round 4 performances.
